Photo 10: Iron Urns

Iron Urns, then and now, dated grunge

Now refurbished arch units, 16-22 Raymouth Road, Bermondsey, London SE16

• Vici MacDonald on the Iron Urns photo: “The urns belonged to a garden pot emporium, one of a row of small businesses that once lined Raymouth Road’s viaduct with colourful walls and classic sign writing. But now London’s railway arches are being filled with these clinically similar units, and only fragments of the original brick survive between anonymous railings.”
